Restaurants, Hotels And Malls To Reopen From Monday With New Rules

The government has released a new set of rules as restaurants, hotels, and malls are going to reopen on Monday. After a nationwide lockdown of more than two months, the government has started to give opening permissions to different service providers.

While small shops, offices, and factories are open now for more than a week, the government has officially released a new set of rules that everyone is supposed to follow, be it customers or shopkeepers.

Rules For Shopping Malls

  • Only healthy people will be allowed to enter after going through thermal screening
  • All workers, customers, and visitors must use face covers or masks
  • Crowd management shall be done inside the premises of malls and in parking area
  • The home delivery staff shall go through thermal screening before every delivery
  • Number of people using an elevator at a time shall be restricted
  • Gaming zones and cinemas will be closed in the malls
  • Every table must be disinfected after the customer leaves
  • Maximum of 50% seats can be filled at a time in food courts

Rules For Hotels

  • Only healthy staff and guests will be allowed to enter after going through thermal screening
  • Every person in the hotel premise must cover his/her face with a mask all the time
  • If possible, staff should wear hand gloves for extra protection
  • Hotel management should make different gates for entry and exit
  • A minimum distance of 6 feet shall be maintained in every area, be it a buffet, parking, or reception
  • Along with ID card, the guest must also provide his/her self declared travel history and medical condition
  • The hotel management should disinfect luggage before sending to guest’s room
  • Food delivery in rooms should be encouraged instead of buffet or dine in
  • Every room must be disinfected after the guest leaves

Rules For Restaurants

  • During home delivery, direct contact should be avoided with the customer. The food delivery person shall try to leave the food packet at the customer’s door.
  • The home delivery staff shall go through thermal screening before every delivery
  • Only healthy people will be allowed to enter after going through thermal screening
  • Disposable menus and napkins should be used by restaurants if possible
  • A maximum of 50% seats can be filled at a time in food courts
  • A minimum distance of 6 feet shall be maintained in queues

What’s Still Closed?

All kinds of hospitality services and restaurants will be closed in the containment zones. Until further notice, cinema halls, gaming zones, and children play areas will be closed all over the country.
