Jobs Alert! IOCL Extends The Last Date For Job Application Submission

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) has extended the deadline for various recruitment. The oil company said in its official statement that they are extending the deadline keeping the nationwide lockdown in mind. The job openings are for 600 positions.

The new date is June 15, 2020. As per the official website of IOCl, the extension of the deadline is for the “Recruitment of Engineers/Officers and Engagement of Graduate Apprentice Engineers through GATE-2020.”

In its statement, IOCL stated, “The last date for submitting your online application for the aforesaid opening has been extended till midnight of 15th June 2020 in wake of countrywide lockdown imposed due to COVID-19. You are advised to go through the detailed advertisement placed on this portal before applying for the said position.”

The recruitment registrations were opened on April 7 and were supposed to close in May. But the nationwide lockdown forced the company to reschedule its recruitment timeline.

The recruited engineers will be required in the following four fields:

• Chemical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

The candidates will have to pass through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE – 2020) to get the job. Once selected, the candidate can be sent anywhere in India or even abroad as per IOCL’s requirement.

Minimum Requirement

Only those can apply for Assistant Officer posts who have a graduation degree in any discipline and must have passed CA Intermediate or CMA Intermediate or any equivalent qualification from ICAI/ ICMAI.

For the general category, the minimum marks required are 55%, and for SC, ST, and PwBD category, one must have at least 50% marks. In addition to the educational qualifications, IOCL has also said that one should have experience of at least three years in finance function before March 31, 2020.

The final selection will be done on the basis of marks one has attained in the GATE 2020.
