TikTok clone Zynn now tops App Store by paying users to watch videos

After getting a bad name due to a number of reasons, the TikTok app is now facing a serious market threat from another app. The new app is literally a clone of TikTok, except that it is paying users to watch the videos. Its name is Zynn.

Notably, the app was launched in May only. Within weeks, it topped Apple’s App Store’s free app list and is in the top 10 on Google’s Play Store.

What’s So Special?

If you install and open the Zynn app on your phone, you will find that the app is an exact clone of TikTok. In fact, even the buttons are in the same place. Similar to TikTok, it showcases a few seconds long portrait-orientation videos. But the one distinction that made people download it so fast is the earning scheme.

The longer you watch the videos, the more points you will earn in Zynn. With these points, you can buy gift cards on Amazon or take the cash out. Many people have uploaded proof videos on YouTube, showing their earnings via Zynn app.

How Can You Earn Money On Zynn?

Needless to say, you have to install the application first. Once installed, you will see pre-filled videos on the platform. These videos are from other app run by the same company that created Zynn. You can watch the videos without signing up, but if you want to earn money, then you must create an account.

In order to create an account, you need to register in Zynn through either one of IDs: Google, Facebook, Twitter, or your phone number.

You can earn money in Zynn through two methods. One is watching videos, and another is referral method. When you start watching a video, a countdown timer with a dollar sign will hover over the video. Once you watch the full video, you will get points.

The company claims that a person can earn $110 (8,300 Indian Rupee) if he/she can get five people to sign up for the app. However, the catch is that those five people should be using the app actively and not simply signing-up and then uninstalling it. 

What About TikTok?

The app is getting a lot of bad media for past few months for a number of reasons. First, some Indian YouTubers got in a tussle with TikTok. The huge fanbase of YouTubers gave bad reviews of TikTok on Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Second, due to political reasons, Indians are uninstalling TikTok as it is created by a Chinese company. Funnily though, Zynn is also created by a Chinese rival company of TikTok.

It’s hard to say if Zynn is going to go far or not, but for now, the newly arrived app has secured a top position.
